pleas

lord

heavy laden

we are here

hear

your flock

flocking here

hear our pleas 

please

those who do

nothing

will reap 

the harvest of

weeping

we are here

hear our prayer

we pray

because 

our lives

depend on

praying

Lyn Coffin has had a number of poetry books and books of translation published. She was an assistant editor for the Michigan Quarterly Review for many years assisting Lawrence Goldstein. She has been featured at poetry festivals in Europe and South America as well as many places in the US. One of her stories was in Best American Short Stories edited by Joyce Carol Oates. Her poetry has been translated into Spanish, French, Portuguese, Arabic, Belgian, Egyptian,  and many other languages.
